The points of most likely interest are the extreme rising and setting points on the horizon (solstices) and the east-west line (equinoxes).
Thus their extreme points along the horizon are somewhat more extended than for the Sun.
The point is that the pyramid gives a heightened horizon and the Sun moves to the south as it rises, so that the Sun is framed despite the apparent misalignment.

The southernmost point of the world and the southernmost point on land is the geographic South Pole, which is on the continent of Antarctica.
The point farthest from the Earth's centre is the summit of Chimborazo (due to the Earth not being a perfect sphere), at 6384.4 km (Everest's summit is at 6382.3 km).
The point closest to the Earth's centre (~6353 km) is probably somewhere at the bottom of the Arctic Ocean (depth ~4 km) near the Geographic North pole (the bottom of the Mariana Trench is 6366.4 km from the centre of the Earth).

I’ve never understood the people who attack America as the source of the world’s ills or as a bigger problem than the kleptocracies and venal states that populate most of the rest of the planet.
I had forgotten that America is as much an ideal as a place, and for many people, America doesn’t live up to the ideals they want her to stand for.

 Clovis People
Clovis points range in length from 1 1/2 to 5 inches (4 to 13 centimetres) and are heavy and fluted, though the fluting rarely exceeds half the length.
Exactly how these points were hafted is unknown, but the men probably carried a series of them mounted in wooden or bone foreshafts that worked loose from the spear shaft once the head was buried in its quarry.
Besides projectile points, the Clovis people used bifacially trimmed points and other woodworking and butchering artifacts, as well as flakes used simply as sharp-edged, convenient tools in their struck-off form.
