Choking Victim (band) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Choking Victim was an influential ska/punk/hardcore (what they call "Crack Rock Steady," a slight satire on the Rocksteady style of music which Choking Victim's style often included) band from New York City in the 1990s.
Ironically, Choking Victim broke up after the first day of recording for their one and only album, but the recordings from that one day were enough to make a solid album.
After they broke up, (Stza and Ezra Crack) formed the band Leftover Crack, and Skwert and Ezra formed INDK.

The thing about Leftover Crack's messages are they aren't afraid to say anything, and are usually extreamlly straight forward, but still manage to include some sarcasm and humour.
Ezra has a great voice for singing back up to Stza, a good contrast.

EZRA had written a letter to the home folks, in it he had complained that never before had he spent such a weary, lonesome day as this Thanksgiving day had been.
It had rained hard all day, and was cold ; and although the open fire made every honest effort to be cheerful, Ezra, as he sat in front of it in the wooden rocker and looked down into the glowing embers, experienced a dreadful feeling of loneliness and homesickness.
