F-type asteroids are a relatively uncommon type of carbonaceous asteroid, falling into the wider C-group.
Generally similar to the B-type asteroids, but lacking the "water" absorption feature around 3μm indicative of hydrated minerals, and differing in the low wavelength part of the ultraviolet spectrum below 0.4μm.
The F-type and B-type asteroids are not distinguishable with the criteria used in the SMASS classification, so in that scheme are grouped together under the B-type.

HD105633 (G5) [1] considered as a solar analog was also observed, and the data were used for calculation the asteroid reflectance spectra.
From the data and taking into account the mean heliocentric distance of 3045 Alois (3.13 AU) we suppose that the asteroid having irregular spectral characteristics may be of M- or E-type and possibly hydrated.

I have lots of research interests, but I concentrate on trying to understand asteroids; how they formed, how they evolve (collisionally, through asteroid impacts, and dynamically, through planetary perturbations), what they are made of, and what their structure is like.
Delay-doppler radar images from Steve Ostro (and others) at JPL show that this asteroid is nearly 3 times as long as it is wide (5.1 x 1.8 km, or 2.8 x 1.0 normalized).
I suggest that rubble-pile asteroids, after experiencing a close approach with Earth, are frequently split into multiple fragments which can begin to orbit one another.

Thus the clay layer itself, the scientists reasoned, must hold clues to the duration and nature of the mysterious KT extinction event, one of the most dramatic calamities to afflict Earth's biosphere since the development of complex life over a billion years ago.
They found that the clay contained high concentrations of the element iridium, extremely rare in Earth's crustal rocks but quite abundant in certain meteorites, and proposed that this clay was the altered remains of the dust cloud blasted around the world when a 10-km-wide asteroid or comet struck the Earth.
