		Canon's new 17-40 F4L is a lens that I seem to recall a number of list members saying they would love to have (along with a 28-105 f4L!).
		With the other pair or of f2.8/f4 L lenses (70-200 f2.8L and F4L) the f4 lens is half the weight, half the price and (barring the extra stop) is of equal optical and build quality to the f2.8 version.
		I would hope so as an f4L wide angle zoom priced (and sized) too closely to the f2.8L is going to battle for market share.
