 | | The Fédération Aéronautique Internationale (FAI), the world governing body for air sports and the World Air Games has announced that they will not be choosing a host for the 2005 World Air Games and that the Games will be canceled. |
 | | Delays in the bid process (Malaysia and Poland, the final two bidders, both needed to re-work their original bid documents) meant that the FAI has decided there is now not enough time to hold the games in 2005. |
 | | The FAI will continue with its plan to publish a book on the 100 year history of the organization, to be published in 2005 as part of the 100 year anniversary celebration. |
