  FBU: productive resources, environmental conservation and volunteer work in Ecuador.
The FBU promotes the participation of the farming communities and the local population in processes of building and strengthening their identities.
From its first steps FBU placed emphasis on the education of community leaders in rural sectors and funded schools for indigenous and campesino children.
Other programs we have at the FBU are: environmental education directed at youth groups, a network of tree nurseries, a volunteer program, and we are working on the commercialization of farm products.

FBU conference was a very good chance to present our “Open letter to US trade unionists”, and FBU President and Hands Off Venezuela sponsor Ruth Winters appealed to the delegates to sign it and to circulate it in their branches.

do you know what the fbu policy is? please take the time to read it, then i will be willing to take up the gauntlet you have thrown and defend the position the fbu has taken.
The FBU policy of establishing whether the accused had an 'arguable defence' prior to representing him/her was the point at which I felt rather let down by my union.
the point is that fbu policies are determined and developed by the members and a democratic decision taken at conference.
