		Personally, I've always thought that it was easier to weild than a BAR since its ROF somehow stabilizes it in full-auto, but it's just been so much easier since 1.2.
		i never really play with the fg42, only if im out of ammo and i find one, and its very rare i survive that long.

		What baffles me is everything is setup code wise in the MP code to use the FG42 scope but there's just some missing code somwhere to finish off enabling it that's preventing the FG42 scope from working from what i can tell.
		Now what would really be cool is the FG42 model with an axis arm because all i got is the model with an allied arm.

		Hey guys, i need help with a few things for getting the FG42 to work in RTCW MP.I got it working and loaded properly, it's selectable as a soldier weapons, all graphics load, weapon sounds etc. and i'm almost finished but just need to help with a couple little things first.
		This last one is really weird, the weapons spawns with the player and everything with a 20/40 ammo count but you can't drop the weapon for some reason, and when i switch to another weapon in my arsenal and try to go back to the FG42 it like disappears and i don't have it anymore.
		i cant seem to get the fg42 the Quake styled BFG gun back in, im hoping cna you please send some of the code which has abled you to view the model properly.

		The bayonet was also built in and could be stored beneath the bipod, it's weight effectively helping to reduce muzzle climb.
		Early versions of the FG42 were produced with a steel buttstock and a severely angled pistol grip (as shown above), while the later models had wooden furniture and a more traditional pistol grip, as well as an improved muzzle brake.

		This conversion wasn't too hard; I moved the bipod foreward and added the magwell and mag from the FG42.
		I also used the sides from an Uzi folding stock to bridge the gap between the new magwell and the gun.

		Such weapons have the advantage of being lighter to operate, however if the gas chamber was allowed to block with debris then the weapon could fail.

		About the mount, it was called " swallow-tail " mount in the book, it is fit for the 1st type FG42 (not sure) and 2nd type FG42 manufatured by L O Dietrich of Altenburg (code "gcy") only.

		Read this as well, its server side variable to add fg42, its just not selectable unless the server allows it.
		In order to see the FG42 on the menu, the weapon must be allowed on the server.
		You can use AWE to for example give every player an FG42 as a secondary weapon if you want a serverside solution.
