Topic: The Filth

The Filth - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Filth is a comic book series, written by Grant Morrison and drawn by Chris Weston and Gary Erskine.
The Filth can be seen partly as companion piece to The Invisibles in that it touches upon similar themes and concepts such as fractal realities, art affecting life, postmodern blurring of the fourth wall and the world as a single, living organism with humans as the cells that compose it.
Morrison concieved the series as an exploration (which he made the point of also doing in his life) of the negative forces of the Qlippoth or "Tree of Death" which the occult tradition of ceremonial magic concieves as the negative equivalent of the Tree of Life.

For the first time, "Filth" (as even Betty called him) delves into the past that produced him: a "Raj orphan" raised by a series of surrogates while his father worked in Singapore, Filth served briefly in WWII (guarding the Queen) and had a lackluster stint as a London barrister before emigrating.
"Filth" stands for "Failed in London, try Hong Kong," which is a misleading soubriquet for the central character, Sir Edward Feathers, a distinguished advocate and judge, and a man of the utmost probity.
Deftly carrying readers through Filth's exploration of life from his struggles as a young Barrister to his ultimate retirement from a judgeship in the beautiful Dorset, Old Filth is very strongly recommended as a giftedly authored novel portraying of one man's life and times.

Filth Pig arrived after an extended break that found Al Jourgensen and Paul Barker giving rural Texas life a try before retreating back to the chilled concrete of Chicago.
The thing was, and is, that "Filth Pig" was not only a tremendous leap in creativity for Ministry that totally outdid "Psalm 69", but also a massive leap in contemporary music as a whole.
Well, the "problem" with 'Filth Pig' was that its brilliance demanded very experienced listeners to appreciate what it was, and beyond that it demanded listeners able to listen with an open mind.
