FM will appear in concert at the North East Art Rock Festival, NEARfest in the early summer of 2006, in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
FM played its last “farewell” show in Toronto in the summer of 1996 at the Molson Amphitheatre located in the waterfront park, Ontario Place.
The 1996 show was entitled “Superstars of the ‘70’s” with such notable mainstream Canadian bands as Bachman Turner Overdrive, April Wine and Loverboy.

These FM stations have a 75 kHz maximum deviation from the center frequency, which leaves 25 kHz upper and lower "gaurd bands" to minimize interaction with the adjacent frequency band.

The international FM band (which is used in New Zealand) is from 87 to 108 MHz.
Band expanders shift the New Zealand FM stations down to the tuning range of the Japanese car radio.
But, because the Japanese FM band has a narrower frequency range than the international band, sometimes the band expander shifts two stations to exactly the same point in the tuning range, causing poor reception of both stations.

The C7RFM3 is a band reject filter rejecting the entire FM broadcast band from 88 MHz to 108 MHz.
FM stations can use this filter to suppress the carrier in order to measure harmonic output of the transmitter with a spectrum analyzer.
Attaching the C7RFM3 to the output of the paging transmitter will prevent the strong FM carrier from appearing on the non-linear PA of the class C amplifier that is used in the paging transmitter.

On the AM band 1 watt would be ten times the power allowed under Part 15 rules, however, on the FM band much less power is required to travel significant differences so even a few milliwatts may violate F.C.C. rules.
This transmitter would be legal in those bands if you have the appropriate amateur radio license, however, most work in 80 meters is either single side band or CW because the latter use much less bandwidth and cover greater distance for the same amount of power.

The Australian Broadcasting Authority has revised its proposals in relation to FM radio in Launceston and now plans to convert both commercial radio services and the ABC Local Radio service from the AM band to the FM band.
The ABA is proposing that 7LA operate on 89.3 MHz and 7EX operate on 90.1 MHz in the FM band.
The ABA is also proposing that the ABC Local Radio service move from 711kHz on the AM band to operate on 91.7 MHz in the FM band.

Free-form radio has always been more readily accepted in the reserved non-commercial FM band than by commercial stations; its proponents and its detractors agree that it is not appealing to most commercial spon sors because of its iconoclastic reputation.
However, in 1967 when the FCC's "FM Nonduplication Rule" forced many commercial FM stations to change their formats, some decided to try free-form programming because the non-commercial stations proved its popu larity with teenagers and young adults.
