	FSC suspends SGS Forestry’s certification activities

		The Norwegian Consumer Ombudsman has warned the FSC that wood products from Indonesia carying the FSC logo will be "considered to be misleading and in conflict with section 2 of the Marketing Control Act".
		The Ombudsman's office has also warned FSC that, during 2004, it will be paying special attention to misleading claims on products which claim "special ethical or environmental qualities".
		The Ombudsman ruled that the impression was given that all the wood was certified, whereas, because of the FSC's 'Percentage-Based Labelling' rules, only a small percentage of the wood included in the product had actually been certified.
