FSN Detroit will be the only TV carrier for Tigers telecasts, as was the case in 2005, when UPN 50 and the Tigers could not reach agreement on a traditional package of noncable broadcasts.
FSN Detroit will offer the same number of Tigers telecasts it provided in 2005: 114, which includes two spring-training games (Thursday against the Yankees and March 27 against Houston) and 112 regular-season games.
The Tigers need to at least get to a level where they are competing past the all-star break.

The FSN Regionals comprise FSN Ohio, FSN Detroit, FSN Pittsburgh, FSN Midwest, FSN Chicago, the Sunshine Network and Empire Network.

WKBD UPN 50 has failed to reach a local broadcasting agreement with the Detroit Tigers.
This is the first time that the Tigers will be without a local television presense since WWJ-TV 4 (now WDIV, not to be confused with the current WWJ-TV 62) broadcasted the first Tigers game on June 3rd, 1947, which was a 6-2 win over the New York Yankees.
