Schlabrendorff fungierte dabei vor allem als geheimer Verbindungsmann zwischen Tresckows Hauptquartier an der Ostfront und der Verschwörergruppe in Berlin um Ludwig Beck, Carl Friedrich Goerdeler, Hans Oster und Friedrich Olbricht.
Schlabrendorff aktivierte selbst den Zünder und übergab das Päckchen an Oberstleutnant Brandt, der in dasselbe Flugzeug wie Hitler einstieg.
In den folgenden Monaten wurde Schlabrendorff nacheinander in verschiedene Konzentrationslager verlegt: Sachsenhausen, Flossenbürg, Dachau und Innsbruck.

Fabian von Schlabrendorff (born 1 July 1907 in Halle an der Saale; died 3 September 1980 in Wiesbaden) trained as a lawyer, later joining the German Army.
Schlabrendorff was sent to Gestapo prison where he was tortured, but refused to talk.
In February 1945, Schlabrendorff stood before the infamous Volksgerichtshof (People's Court) awaiting his trial, but the courtroom took a direct hit from a bomb during an American air raid, killing Judge Roland Freisler, who was discovered dead and still clutching Schlabrendorff's file.

Januar 1926 Erika von Falkenhayn, Tochter des Erich von Falkenhayn und trat 1926 wieder in die Reichswehr ins Infantrie-Regiment 9 ein, das in der Nähe von Potsdam stationiert war.
Von Tresckow sah den Versailler Vertrag als Schmach für Deutschland an und betrachtete deshalb den Aufstieg der Nationalsozialisten in der Weimarer Republik zunächst mit Wohlwollen.
In Oldenburg ist eine Fallschirmjäger-Kaserne nach Henning von Tresckow benannt.

He was a central resistance figure; as early as 1937 he was plotting a coup against Hitler, whereby Count Hans-Jürgen von Blumenthal and other officers would march into the Reich Chancellery and arrest him.
The plan was aborted when the British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain adopted the policy of appeasement.
Fabian von Schlabrendorff, one of the few major coordinators of anti-Nazi activities to survive the war, described him as "a man such as God meant men to be, lucid and serene in mind, imperturbable in danger."
