		FACEL standing for "Forges et Ateliers des Constructions d'Eure-et-Loir" was founded by Jean Daninos (1906-2001) in 1939 and specialised in manufacturing steel car bodies for Panhard, Simca and Ford of France.
		In 1954, Daninos introduced the first Facel Vega (as the new cars made by FACEL were known) called the FV.
