Both schools have a reputation for producing music of the highest quality, but both schools have their own individual approach and style, so the evening of April 12th is sure to provide something to satisfy the musical taste of everyone in the audience.
Booking the Fairfield Halls is not of course cheap, far from it, and we have around 1,500 seats to fill, so we do hope that everyone connected with the two schools, especially parents and relatives, will do all they can to ensure that they are present for this milestone in the schools' musical history.
Both schools have, of course, performed in the Concert Hall before, and Tenison's Senior Choir has twice performed in front of Princess Anne on behalf of The Mission to Seaman Charity, but this is the first time that we have felt confident in mounting a concert on our own.

fairfields has a 5 set a double 5 set a 3set tonnes of raised platforms and a four set at the front also if you know where to look there is copious amounts of wood underneath just dont get caught taking it.
The main hangout for skaters is the concrete bit between Croydon College and Fairfield Halls although most of them are in their early teens so don't expect expert competition.

I have been a resident in the Croydon area for almost 40 years and during that time I have been a regular attender at the Fairfield Halls for music and at the Ashcroft Theatre for drama.
Perhaps I and the thousands of others who have enjoyed many events over the years might have been approached as to what we might want; after all the Fairfield Halls exists to provide me with entertainment and I would suggest that my views be canvassed.
The Fairfield Halls boasts one of the best acoustics in any concert hall in London and the south-east.

I was also intrigued to find this Live at Fairfield Halls CD and the glowing reviews were enough to make me buy it.
OK the official release at the time "Caravan and the New Symphonia" has a novelty value with the full orchestral backing but is not as good as this release.
The band were in magnificent form at fairfield Hall (obviously looking forward to their impending jaunt to the States)and every track is superbly performed - often surpassing the studio versions.

This year, as in 2002, there will be three Stalls Halls: the Main Hall on the Ground Floor and two Craft Halls on Level 1.
We cannot offer this option in the Arnhem Gallery (main hall) because this is the only place in the Fairfield Halls where we can socialise (dance!) in the evening.
The two Craft Halls hold approximately 10 stalls in each, there is no discount for PF members on these stalls.

On 10th August 2003 Trinity Boys Choir performed Stravinsky's Perséphone at the BBC Proms in the Royal Albert Hall, with the BBC Symphony Chorus, Cantate Youth Choir and BBC Symphony Orchestra conducted by Andrew Davis.
On 15th November, the choir performed Mendelssohn's Elijah at the Fairfield Halls, Croydon, with the Croydon Philharmonic Choir as part of their 90th anniversary celebrations.
