| | ENG 3250: Myth, Fairytales, & Folklore (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-22) |
 | | Aims: The purpose of this course is to explore myth, fairytales, and folklore as manifestations and articulations of the cultures out of which they arise. |
 | | We will consider the language and conceptual structures of these cultural expressions in terms of the ways that the human imagination configures meaning and that “stories” articulate and reshape cultural beliefs, norms, and expectations. |
 | | In addition to comparative analysis of different traditions and cultures, we will explore the relations among the forms of myth, fairytales, and folklore. |
