Depending on the aircraft's loading, it would be fairly easy to violate the allowable C.G. range by depleting most of the fuel in one tank before switching to the other.

In June 1955, the first Falco, a small, classically proportioned wooden lightplane that looks more like a shrunken fighter than a private pilot's puddle jumper, was dragged atop a wagon to the Linate Airport, outside Milan, by a team of horses.
Yet he is the creator of not only the Falco but the much-sought ex-military aerobat called the SIAI-Marchetti SF.260, and his two newest projects, the General Avia F.22 Pinguino and the Sprint trainer and sportplane, were being exhibited in the United States for the first time.
When the Falco first went on the market in Italy, it inevitably gained a reputation as "a hot ship"--so fast and delicate in its handling that it would be too much of a handful for mere mortals.

As far as it concerns the embarked aircraft, in the Summer of 1943 two RE 2000 were on the battleship RN Roma, two on RN Vittorio Veneto and one on RN Littorio (later RN Italia).
Then the aircraft was donated to the University of Palermo and rescued in a rather sorry state by the Italian Air Force on 1960.

Light losses against the French gave the Italians a mistaken impression that their tactics and aircraft were highly effective.
National pride and political prestige, rather than military necessity, led the Italian Dictator Mussolini to send a force of bombers and fighters to take part in the air battles against Great Britain.
Little combat with British fighters took place over the British Isles but it did reveal the CR42's major weakness; its armament of two machine guns was no more than a First World War fighter and it was unable to inflict major damage on its opponents.

The propaganda operation designed to have Italian aircraft operating against the RAF on the Channel was ill conceived and conducted and showed at full the defects and the approximation of the Regia Aeronautica.
The career of the Falco thus ended, a sort of monument to a great plane, the last of its era, but also a monument to the inability of the Regia Aeronautica to develop in time a replacement for an aging aircraft representing an already obsolete formula.

To summarize: Fired weight per second is given as an approximation of the chemical energy that can be transferred to the target, muzzle power as a measure of the kinetic energy, and the number of rounds fired indicates the spreading of this transfer over a number of hits.
All three are factors that must be considered in a consideration of the firepower installed in an aircraft.
