Falcon (comics) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Falcon is one of the first African American superheroes.
The Falcon's only super-power is his empathic link with his bird Redwing endowed by the Red Skull using the Cosmic Cube (although he once showed an ability to extend this to other birds, he has not shown this ability before or since).
Not much is known about the Ultimate version of Falcon, except that he appears to have an entirely different origin than the original Falcon, is a scientist, has served with or under General Nick Fury, and wears a pair of metal wings similar to the harness given to the original Falcon by Black Panther.

In fact, comics, in general, was becoming a lost cause for me because in addition to being terribly insulting to my efforts to please TPTB, The Crew's cancellation was to me, confirmation that, while no one in the comics biz was literally showing me the door, they were certainly handing me my hat.
Falcon had two specific speech patterns, it all depended on who he was talking to.

The Falcon Newspaper - Comics: not only for children
The popularity of "comic book movies" grows even more when the definition is extended to include more than just the superhero genre: the "Alien" series, "The Mask" and "Road to Perdition" also find their roots in comic book series.
Comic book worlds seem to appeal to more than just a handful of die-hard fans and small children, and while they may be less lucrative than the movies they inspire, comic books themselves are still a presence in society.
Wall said that she has been reading comic books since she could read, and that as she has gotten older she has developed a taste for Japanese comics, which she says contain more diversity in style and content than just the "anime" that everyone knows about.

Opinions 11 - Casualties of Retcon IV: The Falcon (Apr 1999)
Thus appeared the Falcon, who originally swung on ropes dressed in a green and orange costume, accompanied by his pet falcon and his partner and mentor, Captain America.
One moment, the familiar Falcon appears in character; the next, he attacks Captain America at the command of the Red Skull, who reveals that he had planted Wilson on the island where Captain America (then in the Skull's body) found him.
If the Falcon originally represented a sixties ideal of a moral and humane man dedicated to the betterment of his fellows, then the Falcon that left the title in the mid-seventies represented his demotion from an idealized figure to that of a typical period Blaxploitation character.

In Falcon’s first non-flashback appearance in the first issue, for example, his feet are propped up on a desk as he fingers an unlit cigar in one hand and aims a pistol at members of the Cuban drug cartel in the other.
The exaggerated humanity of his renderings work best in the more "super" moments of the story, such as when Falcon is caught in hurricane winds at the end of the second issue, or his battle with the so-called "Anti-Cap" at the end of the third.

 Don Markstein's Toonopedia: The Falcon
The Falcon (who came along three years later) did rack up at least one minor "first" — he was the first not to make too blatant a schtick of his racial identity by using the word "fl" as part of his name.
The Falcon was a neighborhood superhero, operating in Harlem as of his introduction in Captain America #117 (September, 1969).
In 1979, The Falcon became a member of The Avengers, but this lasted only a few months — the fact that the U.S. government had ordered them to invite him, so they'd have a fl member, didn't sit well with him.

He was there from the first issue, and unlike Falcon, he’s here in the last.
There’s not much fun to be had in Falcon’s life in this story, which reads as loss after loss for Cap, who ends up more alone, though no more insightful, than when he began.
It’s frustrating when your heroes don’t see their own flaws, and when their dark passages don’t lead into the light, but into a void, or at best into a grim and rainy twilight.

Falcon is playing by his own rules, embracing the principles and ideals Cap has ingrained within him, but expressing those ideals in ways Cap does not always fully appreciate.
This is a very different book, and this interpretation of the Falcon is a bit more aggressive and operates on a much broader scale of events than the neighborhood protector from the miniseries.

Either way, Dyno and the Falcon (no relation) were created by Joe Ruby and Ken Spears, who later formed a studio of their own and were responsible for Thundarr the Barbarian, Heathcliff and other animated series of the 1980s.
The schtick was, The Blue Falcon was a serious, hard-working and reasonably competent superhero, while Dynomutt, despite his many built-in bionic devices, was clumsy and inefficient, and, while sometimes helpful, often caused as much damage as the villains.
The Blue Falcon was Gary Owens, who did several other superhero voices, such as Space Ghost and Roger Ramjet.
