Though the band was marketed as being from Australia, they were in fact New Yorkers, whose short, sharp songs, snarling guitar and aggressive rhythms anticipated the punk music with which the city would become so associated a few years later.

Fallout was a Heavy Metal band formed in 1979 based out of Brooklyn, New York, USA.
The band contained future Type O Negative members Peter Steele (then billed under his real name Peter Ratajczyk) on bass and vocals and Josh Silver on keyboards, as well as John Campos on guitars and Agnostic Front drummer Louie Beateaux (then billed as Lou Beato) on drums.
Fallout released only one record before the band’s demise in 1982, the ‘Rock Hard’ 7’’ single, released in 1981 on Silver records and limited to 500 copies.

This is the third full-length for Toronto's The Fallout, and it's one of the most kick-ass-old-school punk albums I've heard in ages.
Reminiscent of bands such as Stiff Little Fingers or The Clash, but renewed to excise the dated elements and follies of some of those bands.
While musically the band at times reminds me of The Spits, there's a surprising seriousness to the band's lyrics (mixing politics and diatribes about the punk scene), despite their fun, upbeat musical stylings.

The band was called Intensity, named after one of the effects on Fender’s smallest and cheapest amp.
