Fallout 2 on peli joka on vanha kuin taivas, ruma kuin venäläisen pommikoneen rahastaja ja pelaaminenkin on parhaimmillaan yhtä helppoa kuin tunkisi voita sukkapuikolla villikissan takapuoleen.
Olen pelannut Fallout kakkosen läpi "vasta" neljä kertaa ja joka pelikerralla on löytynyt aina jokin uusi jippo/paikka/esine/kokemus.
Fallout 2 on erinomaista edeltäjäänsäkin parempi ja addiktiivisempi eikä kyllästymään yleensä pääse kuin vaikean tehtävän läpäisemisen yritys tai pitkän taistelun aikana...

Whereas Fallout had you wielding Weapons of Mass Destruction and blasting everything that moved in relatively short order, the game balance in Fallout 2 is much better, and you won't be wandering upon anything more powerful than a handgun for a good portion of the game.
Essentially, there is a lot more of everything in Fallout 2 than there was in Fallout: the game map is at least twice as big, there are many more quests to solve, a lot more weapons and armour to choose from, and also a lot more NPCs that are willing to join your party.
Fallout 2 is a worthy successor to Fallout, and one that deserves a place in every dedicated role-playing gamer's collection.

 Anyone help out with my Fallout 2 - Mac Forums
I recently picked up Fallout 2, and problem appeared when i attempt to launch the Fallout 2.app in the "virtual drive" mounted before, from a toast file.
After the splash screen of fallout 2, a window appeared with a message of "Fallout 2 has encountered an unrecoverable error", and asked me wether send a mail to Omni Group or not.
Fallout 2 seemed to corrupt itself if I start the program and quit without loading a saved game or starting a new game.

As sequels go, Fallout 2 is truer to it's progenitor than most, to a fault really.
Problems that were only a slight annoyance in Fallout become a severe pain in Fallout 2, not because the problems are any more severe, but because they were not addressed or improved upon.
Ironically Fallout 2 falls a little short on most of these scales, but still manages to be a game worthy of your attention.

One of the biggest criticisms about Fallout 2 was the bug count, which, for me, wasn't that bad.
My point here is that there a few, glaring, sores on Fallout 2 that could have easily been fixed with some *overall* game design philosophy and directing.

Fallout offered a tour of post-nuclear-apocalypse California that no other game had come close to in terms of vibe and atmosphere.
Thankfully, Fallout's developers opted not to use the traditional Advanced Dungeons and Dragons D20 ruleset and chose in favor of a slight variation on the GURPS rule system; the end result is a simple and effective character creation system that fits the game very well.
Fallout's combat system is turn-based and anyone at all familiar with RPGs should get the hang of it pretty quickly.
