		The Falls of Lora are a tidal race with three splendid waves which run on an outgoing tide under Connel Bridge on Loch Etive, six miles North East of Oban on the West Coast of Scotland.
		The Falls are generated when the tide level in the Firth of Lorn drops below the level of the water in Loch Etive, the seawater in Loch Etive pours out through the narrows which are themselves spanned by the spectacular and historic Connel Bridge.
		As the Falls are tidal they are not always running, but when they are they provide excitement for kayakers and divers as well as a stunning sight for tourists and photographers.

		Carved out of the former volcanic landscape by glaciers during the Ice Age, Loch Etive extends southwest from Europe’s only seawater falls (the Falls of Lora) at Connel Bridge (a small version of the famed Forth Bridge) deep into the Highlands two-thirds of the way to Glen Coe.
