  Baseball Hall of Fame
It is nice to be remembered." The hall of fame remembers those who were great and it finds a way to remember many who were great only once, or maybe even twice, and some who were never great at all, but still did something great for the game of baseball.
The National Baseball Hall of Fame opened its doors in 1939, and enshrined the legendary first five.
In 1971 the first special committee on Negro League players was established and their first selection for the National Baseball Hall of Fame was Satchel Paige.

 Song of Solomon
And he spake of trees, from the cedar tree that is in Lebanon even unto the hyssop that springeth out of the wall: he spake also of beasts, and of fowl, and of creeping things, and of fishes.
It has been said that the Song of Solomon is a love sonnet between God and Israel; however, the church of Jesus Christ view it as His love for the bride of Christ.
Through the words of the Song of Solomon we are reminded of the One true love that will be revealed when heaven and earth become one and God Himself will be among us.

Songwriters Hall of Fame   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-11-04)
Songs written during these years were inspired by political events and transcended their era to become the soundtrack of American history.
Negro songs were introduced in the late 1700s, and popular music adopted simple melody--a balance between text and tune and a sameness of rhythm.
During the period before Elvis Presley made a song's performance more important than its publication--when a song's popularity was determined not by the number of records it sold but by the number of sheet music copies it sold--publishing companies hired composers and lyricists on a permanent basis to create popular songs.

Musical Sell Out Hall of Fame, Single Song Division   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-11-04)
JR notes: in my blog on corporate whores and musical sellouts, I attempt to document the tidal wave of corporate song whoring by musicians who may or may not need the money and may or may not have any integrity.
The song must be an all-time classic and the sponsor must either undermine or trivialize the spirit of the song in question (for example, Aerosmith's sale of "Dream On" to the "Miracle" soundtrack and movie made a lot of sense.
Obviously, what separates "song whoring" from acceptable song selling is very tricky territory, which is why we will be defining the nature of corporate song whoring in detail on our "definition of a song whore" page.

But every time you hear the motif in the song, it registers in your brain as something you've heard before and that makes the song easier to remember.
Songwriter Hall of Fame nominees, Billy Edd Wheeler and Roger Bowling wrote the Kenny Rogers classic, " Coward Of The County." I recently spoke with Billy Edd about his use of variation and he said he likes to make subtle changes to the melody because it helps to keep it interesting and less predictable.
In example 1b, the melody dips down to the note F before approaching the note G, whereas in example 1a, the note G is approached from above by the note A. This is a great example of repetition with variation, making the chorus to "Coward Of The County" both memorable and interesting.

 The Walls of Fame
The location of the new Liverpool Wall of Fame is not immediately obvious, and you have to walk a few paces further along Mathew Street to find it in a recessed area, on the left, opposite the Cavern.
The plaque commemorating the unveiling on the 14th March 2001 is on the left hand side wall of the recess.
The main wall bears two sets of discs - one being the actual commemorative discs, which are quite high and therefore rather difficult to read, and the second being the key, in the form of a set of small discs in corresponding positions, and engraved with the song title, year, and artist.

NPR : A Long Career on the Brink of Fame
Spend a moment with Keineg's 1994 album O Seasons O Castles, and it's hard not to be puzzled by its failure to reach a large audience: Here are wildly inspired songs filled with literate and mystical images, songs that aspire to the sprawl and sweep of epic novels.
The song could be a purely fictional account of a relationship in free-fall, but she never seems professionally detached from it: As Keineg alternates between gentle weeping whispers and enraged shouts, the pain sounds like her own — like it matters.
I've always had the same attitude about the prospect of her fame as I have for most of my favorite relatively unknown musicians — I wish her personal success, but I selfishly don't want to share her with too many others.
