Fans (the webcomic) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Fans started its life as a printed comic in 1999, but it was cancelled after only its first major storyline and a crossover with the Knights of the Dinner Table.
Though starting out as ordinary fans of science fiction, fantasy, comics, and role-playing, the members of the club soon find themselves having to confront mad scientists, aliens, governmental conspiracies, time travel, and other adventures.
) is a webcomic by T Campbell, concerning the exploits of the Science Fiction Club of the fictional Billberg University (loosely based on William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia).

Subscriptions only give these fans access to the storyboards used by the artist to create the finished panels of the webcomic, access to paid-subscriber-only forums, and the ability to give banner advertising on the webcomic to their favorite tax-exempt non-profits.
Fans (paid subscribers or not) of the webcomic would be able to sign up for a mailing list.
Fans would bid their systems and connection speeds to get this deal and only as many as would be needed would be accepted.

 COMICON.com: Webcomic Book Club (Jan 2003 - Jun 2005)
These won't be high-falutin' critics, just fans ranging in age from 14 to 50 who will post to a forum thread over a period of a week to discuss a particular webcomic.
Since each week's webcomic is selected in turn by one of the members, it may be several weeks or even a couple months before I would be able to choose another title.
A webcomics archive should be smooth sailing for the new visitor who doesn't want to sift through all that outdated bonus crap.

 The Webcomic Project
There is loyalty by fans to their favorite comics and a sense of privilege among those who have created successful comics.
Not only are fellow webcomics willing to aid starter comics by answering their questions, they’ll also plug your site if they like you or your comic and think it deserves some attention.
In order to survive, a new webcomic must respect those who have come before it or risk being shunned by the rest.

 [My Generic Webcomic]
in other news, fans of the "oddworld" series might like this flash game called " hapland." it took me a couple hours to beat it but is really fun and reminds me of the first two oddworld games a lot.
Unauthorized use of My Generic Webcomic materials, characters, images, semi-intellectual properties, my porn collection and my corn hole is strictly forbidden under penalty of hot poker up the ass.
i really need to stop putting so many jokes about other webcomics into my strip.

Webcomic Fans Please Check Out Webcomicfan.com :: Comixpedia :: Covering the Digital Frontier of Comics Online
These are supposed to be webcomic fans but you don't really get that when you visit the sites.
They may be the only game in town when it comes to webcomics news, but they're not yet the earth-shattering force of vital journalism that they could be.
While they do hit some major webcomics news stories, and many of the smaller ones as well, there's still the occasional big story that they miss.

 Pander. A Webcomic.
Jun is a longtime fan of Habibi's p3rky_grrl website, and was rather distressed when Habibi decided to shut down her webcam.
Jones is yet another fan of p3rky_grrl living in the San Francisco bay area.
Until recently, Habibi was a Web-cam diva with thousands of adoring fans.

Errant Story - "'One day a poet will find a broken statue in a desert with an inscription that reads "my name is Pie's oral sex webcomic metaphor, king of kings; look on my works, ye mighty, and despair...""
Which is kinda of freaky when you think about it; since there's at least six other webcomics, I can think of, where the creator's significant other is helping to run things and/or direct things.
Frankly I'm starting to worry that they're all part of some secret matriarchal cult, and were sent here to try and gain control of each respective webcomic for some bizarre (and somewhat incomprehensible) world domination plot.
Also Impy has quit her job since for health reasons she couldn't do that and run all the comic's business crap, so her job is now officially doing that insead...

 Galactic Zero Webcomic
My inclination at this point, by the way, is not to institute a forum, since it seems to me that forums take on a life of their own with only a subset of the site's fans.
That might be cool later on (when there are fans).
Please use the form at right to email me (yes, a comments feature is coming in the near future); there's an identical form on the About page.

Overdue Media, home of Unshelved - a comic strip about a library
The simple truth is that our fans skew older than most webcomics, perhaps because Gene and I are older than most webcomic creators.
Meanwhile I'm preparing for the WebComics School panel I'm moderating tomorrow (6-7pm in Room 4!).
I did scope out the webcomics area, home of Penny Arcade, Dumbrella, Keenspace, PVP, et al.

CAD Forums - Webcomic creators guide!
Basically this is supposed to be general guidelines on how to make and run a webcomic, as the fans see it.
Serious webcomic’s are, at very least, a part time job.
If you can only draw, drawing may be the smarter choice (you don’t even need the internet for that one!!!) A way around this is to find a friend as an artist/writer, but remember that means 2 sets of commitments to work around.

 The Web
A daily webcomic similar in appearance to syndicated newspaper strips, though much more grownup than anything you'll find in the funnies section of your local rag.
This one is about the adventures of a group of science fiction fans.
Since my interest in sci-fi and fantasy has been dropping I was gonna stop reading, but the stories are so good I couldn't quit.

 Bob And NYM: The Webcomic
It was created mostly out of boredom, and because both individuals were huge fans of other webcomics at the time.
Bob And NYM is a not for profit webcomic made with the intention of entertaining readers and parodying video games, movies, and real life.
When he came back it was discovered that he was getting that sweet, sweet nookie from one of the fairer sex, so I can't really blame him for the absence.

Nuklear Power - Home of 8-bit Theater
So many people in the webcomics "scene", if I can call it that instead of an "industry" which, I can tell you from personal business experience, it is not, are located in the northeast that I'm always tempted to move a little closer their way after CTC.
They work me like a dog at these things, but I enjoy it.
Also, this whole twenty-five years of endless hurricanes thing has me a bit bummed about staying in Florida.

Leet - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
More recently, leet has re-entered the mainstream thanks to its use on various popular websites such as blogs, webcomics and forums and its widespread use on IRC.
As an example of this mainstreaming, Sears introduced the "HE4T" model of Kenmore clothes-washer and dryer, in late 2004.
Something like Leetspeak has regained some popularity in SMS (Short Message Service) media, which often have severe length restrictions and originally required many key presses to spell out words correctly.

 MING - The Webcomic
Ming was conceived by Avi in the spring of 2002, inspired by the many excellent webcomics out there and has taken a year and a half to get this far.
Many (if not all) of you will be, if not mildly confused, foaming at the mouth and trying to gouge your eye out with a fork in confusion.
They are followed by a sparkly shoujo fairy (known as the Ming Fairy) and generally have to set up life in MingTokyo as well as they can manage.

Apathy - A Webcomic By Andrew Taylor
I just uploaded the full archive of Worms comics from my days doodling cartoons for the benefit of Team17 fans.
In any case, there are now three new strips scheduled to appear starting on Friday, so I hope you can all live with a blank week in the archive.
If you’ve read the pre-history secion of the about page you’ll know what I’m talking about.

 Bunny
I guess this means we'll be on the webcomics panel, along with the distinguished people behind Applegeeks, VG Cats, Swordwaltzer, Paradox Lost, Mac Hall, Dominic Deegan, Ninja High School *breathes* and Instant Classic.
I shall be there with some nice Bunny-related swag, two packs of index cards, an array of pens and a pet headcrab by the name of Mortimer.

 Hawkstudios Blog
All of your webcomic guys and anyone else who has the balls to get online and do something that YOU wanna do deserve a lot more than just 99% of the readers to be more than forgiving and loyal.
Getting comics three times a week is a great plus, but once webcomics becomes your full-time job, the three comic days aren't your only deadline, and they're quite possibly not your most important deadline.
Posted by: Nat at December 15, 2004 06:42 AM i just thought i would say, after reading that rant, it got me to think, i had never sent any of my favorite webcomic artists or writers an email saying thanks for all their work.

Korsil :: Korsil Webcomic Reviews: It's like Webcomics 'R' Us, but better!
One of the more memorable characters from The Lounge gets her own webcomic, to the joy of her fans.
But if it is only a supplementary comic only to tide over the fans of The Lounge, I may very well that it’s a great supplementary comic.
As a fan of The Lounge, I thoroughly enjoyed Rave Kitty, but people outside of The Lounge probably won't want to pass this one up.

KeenSpace Forums :: View topic - Webcomic Creators and Fans
Despite a few petty feuds among them, the creators of webcomics are on the whole a really nice bunch.
This is to the people who read webcomics and those who create them.
I find comics far, far more readable then novels, and so last year, for most of the time, when I was bored, I would read the archives of a new web-comic.

 Ctrl+Alt+Del - Tragically l337
I'll also be doing the webcomic challenge, which should be fun.
Also, a lot of my friends will be there, fellow webcomic artists whom I only really get to hang out with at conventions, so I'm excited about that.
I'll also be doing a few panels, at least one of which will be specific to Ctrl+Alt+Del. So you can come sit in a room with a bunch of other CAD fans and ask me questions.
