		Farmersville is a town located in the eastern border of Cattaraugus County, New York, USA.
		Farmersville is south of the Town of Freedom and north of the Town of Lyndon.
		Farmersville -- The hamlet of Farmersville is on NY Route 98 near the middle of the town.

		The town of Farmersville lies upon the east border of the county, north of the centre.
		The Buffalo, New York and Philadelphia Railroad crosses the southwest corner of the town, intersecting lots 33, 34, and 35 of township 5, range 4.
		At a meeting of the school commissioners, held at Farmersville, March 22, 1823, for the purpose of apportioning the school funds in their possession, amounting to $46.50, and finding that School District No. 1 was the only district which had complied with the law, the whole amount was paid to said district.

	Probably Nathan: A Plausible Genealogy of Nathan Holmes of Hamilton, New York
		Jabez HOLMES of Hamilton, Madison, New York served at Sackett's Harbor in the war of 1812, but there seem to be no records of any Nathan HOLMES from New York also serving in that war.
		The same 1855 census says Phebe was born in Washington County, New York -- a place Nathan is not known to have been associated with, and it seems likely Nathan would have been in Connecticut in 1802 since he had sons born there before and after that date.
		However, Americus is known to descend from early Holmeses in the town of Brookfield, Madison County, New York.

	Farmersville dump proposal overview
		According to Cattaraugus County Clerk records, in January and February of 1998, the land proposed for a dump in Farmersville was sold to a new company, Southern Tier Waste Systems (STWS), for a combined total of over $5 million, including parcels sold by Ken Lefler to STWS for half that amount.
		The Farmersville landfill proposal has gone through some changes since 1996, including an increase in capacity to 915,000 tons, then a decrease to about 600,000 tons, but the plan still includes up to 3,000 tons per year.
		On the urging of the county and CCCC, a public scoping meeting on the permit application was held by the DEC in March, 1999, at which elected officials from the county, the City of Olean, and nearby Village of Franklinville expressed unanimous and vociferous opposition, together with about 400 citizens.

	Nathan HOLMES & Grace CHAPEL
		The existence of three daughters born between 1790 and 1800 (at least two of them born after 1794) is inferred from the 1800 census for Montville, New London, Connecticut [989] and the 1810 census for Hamilton, Madison, New York.
		They later migrated to New York State with their oxen and carts, loaded with beautiful furniture, a grandfather's clock, plants, seeds, etc. Some rode horseback.
		He was buried in Farmersville Cemetery in 1850.
