There's much in the Tao Te Ching to be gathered, but I find Rumi's attempt to say the unspeakable much richer.
It has a lot to do with the translations, especially because Barks uses a free-verse approach that leaves out much of the formality (and some would say the incredibly subtle poetic intricacy) of the original Farsi.
