Discussions of fat fetishism (pro or anti) are on-topic so long as they are written from a fat-acceptance perspective; in contrast, simple fat fetishism (for example, “Here’s a fat fetish story I wrote that’s really hot!”) is not on-topic in this carnival.
Discussion of fat fetishism would be fine with me, but plain old fat fetishism for the sake of fat fetishism I would not be okay with.
Perhaps this is born out of interaction with communities where fat admiration and the objectifying and frankly dehumanizing interest in feederism is often confused and where feederists regard fat women’s bodies as little more than an end from their means and most severely objectify women.

Inflation fetishism, also known as expansion fetishism, is the sexual attraction to the expansion of certain body parts, usually the breasts, buttocks and belly, sometimes to the extent that the subject becomes completely spherical except for her head, hands and feet.
Since the nature of inflation fetishism is hard to accomplish in reality, most fetishists enjoy this unusual fetish on a purely imaginary level, resorting to morphed photographs, drawings, and stories to fulfill their desire.
Inflation fetishism may also refer to one who is aroused by watching or experiencing a pump inflated balloon inserted into one's rectum or the vagina and inflated as to distend the belly.

 Definition of Sexual fetishism
Although Freud's theory on fetishes may seem peculiar and was based on anecdotal evidence rather than empirical, he had discovered a critical aspect of human sexuality: the relationship between human orgasms and conditioning.
Transvestic fetishism, the fetish of dressing in the clothes of the opposite sex, is also common.
Some clothing materials are fetishized by a small number of people, perhaps on the basis that the material forms a "second skin" that acts as a fetishistic surrogate for the wearer's own skin.

A store of "excess" fat (most commonly in the buttocks and thighs, where it might also have conferred some other physical advantages like helping to balance a pregnant belly) ensured that a woman could continue to nurse her children even when food was scarce in our earliest evolutionary environments.
Babies whose mothers were fat by today's standards were more likely to survive during the most difficult times in our early history, so genes which enhanced the creation and storage of fat on the female body were most likely to be passed on through the generations.
Men liked fat women in that era not only because plush flesh was an evolved indicator of health and fertility (a "natural" erotic attraction), but because fat women were identified in the culture with high status (abunda nt food and no necessity to do physical labor).

 FETISHISM AND INDIGENISM
Insightfully critiquing Freud and Lacan’s reductionist interpretation of fetishism as a male experience with its singular genesis in the threat of castration, McClintock demonstrates that fetishes have multiple genealogies and mark “a crisis in social meaning as the embodiment of an impossible irresolution” (184).
Fetishes are often, but not always, erotic, and are microcosmic expressions of social contradictions and repressions: “The contradiction is displaced onto and embodied in the fetish object, which is thus destined to recur with compulsive repetition” (184).
The dominatrix fetish drawn on by the pornographic website and its complement, the submissive wife fetish appealed to by the mail-order bride agency, reveal the crises of feminism and the gendered reorganization of the family.

 Sexual fetishism
Sexual fetishism, first described as such by Alfred Binet in his Le fétichisme dans l’amour, though the concept and certainly the activity is quite ancient [depends on your intepretation, see Colin Wilson, The Misfits], is a form of paraphilia where the object of affection is a specific inanimate object or part of a person's body.
This book is about those cultural fantasies of fetishism, the different forms they take and the various ways in which the transformative processes they depict can reaffirm accepted definitions of identity or reconfigure them in an entirely new fashion.
It urges that we embrace the new fetishism emerging from the fringes of the fetish scene and that we begin to classify fetishism in a manner that does justice to its multiplicity.

Being fat is not really about eating, and when we get caught up in who eats what, then we lose sight of the political challenge we are facing together as well as reinforce negative stereotypes about fatness.
I tend to think of the fat acceptance movement as having a pure philosophy with supporters who are mixed in their behaviors.
The idea of fat acceptance seems to be straight forward to me: ACCEPT that is is OK to be fat; STOP doing things to change the bodies we have; and REFUSE to contribute to discrimination against anyone based on their size.

For male homosexuals, the categories are "chub" (or, "superchub" for men who tend to be larger than 350-400 lbs) and "chaser," the former being the subject of the fat fetish.
Also present is a belief that the sexualization of fat is not as pernicious as their detractors claim, and if "Fat Admirer" or "Chubby-Chaser" archetypes become more visible or mainstream, fat will thus lose a major aspect of its general social and cultural stigma.

We live in a society that's deeply conflicted about fat and food: we're not supposed to be heavy, but many of us are; we're not supposed to eat junk food, but many of us do.
Intentionally getting fat, or "forcing" someone to get fat, violates taboos about what we're supposed to find attractive; since being fat isn't healthy, "forcing" someone to gain weight is subtly sadistic.
Since your particular version of the feeder/gainer fetish isn't going to hurt your boyfriend--unlike some feeders, you don't want to get him so fat that his life is threatened--you might as well get down to the business of enjoying it.

The modern struggle against fat cuts deeply and pervasively into American culture.
Fat History explores the meaning of fat in contemporary Western society and illustrates how progressive changes, such as growth in consumer culture, increasing equality for women, and the refocusing of women's sexual and maternal roles have influenced today's obsession with fat.
Brought up-to-date with a new preface and filled with narrative anecdotes, Fat History explores fat's transformation from a symbol of health and well-being to a sign of moral, psychological, and physical disorder.
