  Arnesby May Fayre
The May Fayre is an annual event held on the Monday Bank Holiday at the end of May. A variety of events, stalls, displays and entertainment are held throughout the village and the May Fayre has become a major attraction in the area.
The 26th Fayre in 2006 was affected by a chilly wind and threatened by numerous rain and hail clouds.
Over the 27 years that the Fayre has been held large amounts have been raised to improve village buildings and amenities such as the village hall and to contribute towards the maintenance of St Peter's Church, the Baptist chapel, the Primary school and to support local organisations.

 Goose Fayre
The Colyford Goose Fayre was revived in 1980 under the leadership of Colin Pady and has been held every year since then on the Saturday closest to Michaelmas.
In the early days the fayre was held in the grounds of the Old Manor Hotel but when that site was developed the fayre moved to the present site of Springfields, on the Seaton Road, thanks to the kindness of the Dupee family.
From the outset it was decided that the aim of holding the fayre was not to make unwarranted profit but to hope to gain enough to stage another fayre in the following year, for the benefit of all the local people.

The Brewers Fayre I am going to rate is called Medina Quay and is located on the Fairlea Road in Newport.
Overall, I couldn't fault the food in the Brewers fayre and along with the fact that it wasn't expensive then I would definitely recommend as a quick place to eat.
The Brewers Fayre staff were always over in the Travel Inn gossipping with other staff members and bitching about their work and the customers.

Dr Karen Slevin lecturer in nutrition, who works in partnership with Manchester Fayre, said “This project has provided an excellent opportunity for the nutrition students to apply their knowledge in a very practical way.

 Traquair Medieval Fayre
She really wanted one of the traditional hats, and had set her heart on a lovely red woollen skull-cap style one, but when she tried it on it was much too big...never mind...she was soon distracted by the musicians and birds of prey.
After that it was home time - a last wander around the tents (Boris drawing much attention due to his size!), and a chat with a few of the people in costume...some of whom stayed in character all of the time and called Boris a "wolf in chains"....and back to the car.
We have been to another Traquair Fayre (a few years back) - the main Traquair Fayre in September, and this wasn't as big as that, but today was still very impressive due to the standard of the costumes, the excellent musicians and the craftsmen in the different tents.
