If there is one Toad album to have, this is it.
It's a shame they broke up recording the next album, but then again, maybe it's best to stop when you're at the top, and this is the very top of their output.
Toad still remains my favorite band even though they are disbanded because they write such great material- their songs are so singable and infectious.

In Light Syrup is a pretty decent compilation of B-sides, movie-tunes, fan club singles, and unreleased tracks, all of which were recorded between 1992 and 1994.
Naturally, it's not as consistent as Toad the Wet Sprocket's last effort Dulcinea but can one really expect more from such a collection?
Good Intentions, the first (and likely only) single from this release, was actually written for the Fear album, but, with its upbeat feel and bubbly bass line, it would have fit better on Dulcinea.
