  Biography of St. Kieran
Kieran (Ciaran) of Clonmacnoise, also known as St. Kieran the Younger, was born around 512 AD in Connacht, Ireland, a town located in the northern part of County Roscommon.
Kieran departed Hare Island with eight monastic brothers, and eventually settled at a location in the center of Ireland, on the east bank of the River Shannon.
Because of his prominence in the early Irish church, St. Kieran is known as one of the “Twelve Apostles of Ireland.” The Feast of St. Kieran is celebrated on September 9th.

 Life of St. Kieran
Kieran when he had heard the matter said “flberries she shall have,” and so went to the brake upon which in the foregoing autumn he had left flberries under cover; of which he brought back a vessel full and by Concraidk sent them to the queen.
Kieran of Cluain, after leave taken of those other saints and their blessings had, turned to go his way, lacking all knowledge where were the kine which the king demanded of him.
Kieran went therefore to a great stone that was near him and blessed it; forthwith the stone took fire, and in that condition he carried it to the house in which the guests were.

 St Dunstan's - Home
In 777 control was given to the the monks of the monastery church of St. Peter.
Plummer chose St Dunstan to be the patron of the new church since he had also been patron of the church in Percy Street.
St Hughs Church, Knaphill was opened in 1907 and in 1954 Our Lady Help of Christians West Byfleet, both have subsequently become separate parishes.

The former is founder of Seir-Kieran, Kings County (about A.D. 450), and also of the See of Ossory.
Kieran of Disert-Kieran, Co. Meath, called by the Irish annalists "Kieran the Devout", wrote a "Life of St. Patrick." He died in 775 on 14 June, on which day his feast is celebrated.
Clonsost, is commemorated on 30 April, and St. Kieran, son of Colga, on 19 May.

John of the Cross, Kieran Kavanaugh is probably the best informed English speaking scholar on the lives and teaching of the two Carmelite doctors.

Kieran spent seven years at Inishmore on Aran with St. Enda and then went to a monastery in the center of Ireland called Isel.
