This special feature is a summary of my Master's Thesis project at Boise State University, Boise, ID. The project was conducted in the summers of 1994-96 in northeastern Nevada.
You would be right, although construction on this feature will soon be coming to a halt so I can finish the thesis.

This is the fifth consecutive year that Journalism and Broadcasting has placed in the top three of the competition (twice in first place), and is the only school to ever do so.
Three Western graduates were instrumental in the Rocky Mountain News' winning of the 2002 Pulitzer Prize for News Photography for coverage of the 2002 Colorado wild fires: Barry Gutierrez, Mark Osler and Marc Piscotty.
Taylor Loyal, now education reporter at the Daily News, Bowling Green, placed second in general features and received a certificate of merit in news features.

Travel Photography: Early Images of India will bring together eight mid-19th-century fl-and-white photographs and a paper negative from the permanent collection of the Cleveland Museum of Art that reveal India's landscape and architecture through the eyes of resident and visiting British photographers.
Photography was introduced in India in the 1840s.
A recent acquisition will also be featured in the exhibition - Richard Banner Oakeley's Holysaleswara Temple Sculpture, Halebid (1856-57) highlights that monument's ornate sculptural reliefs of Hindu deities.

Under his leadership, The Times' photography department has won the Pulitzer Prize in Feature Photography in both 2004 and 2003 (three staff photographers also were Pulitzer finalists in 2003).
Kaplan has been awarded the Pulitzer Prize for Feature Photography, the POY National Photographer of the Year, the 2003 Overseas Press Club Award, two Robert F. Kennedy Awards, and the Nikon Documentary Sabbatical Grant.
In 2003, Kaplan's project on survivors of torture in West Africa was given the Overseas Press Club Award for Feature Photography and the Harry Chapin Media Award.

 News Release 4/2004: Photojournalism alumna wins Pulitzer Prize for feature photography
AUSTIN, Texas—Carolyn Cole, a 1983 graduate of the School of Journalism in the College of Communication at The University of Texas at Austin, has been awarded the 2004 Pulitzer Prize for feature photography.
Since 1917 when the first prizes were awarded, the Pulitzer Prize Board has increased the number of awards to 21 and introduced poetry, music and photography as subjects.
The prize for photography was established in 1942, and was divided in 1968 into spot or breaking news and feature photography.
