General José Federico Alberto de Jesús Tinoco Granados (1870-1931) was a President of Costa Rica.
Popular sentiment against Tinoco Granados, which began on June 13, 1919, quickly came to a head, and his brother was assassinated in early August.
On August 13 Tinoco Grandas resigned in favor of Juan Bautista Quirós and went into exile in Europe.

Dictator FEDERICO TINOCO, who had usurped the presidency in 1917, was deposed in 1919, and the country returned to democratic rule, which in Costa Rica had a strong tradition.
