Feisal was born in 1885, the third of four sons of Sharif Hussein bin Ali, Grand Sharif of Mecca and ruler of the Hejaz Arabs.
Feisal in return found in Lawrence a well-connected, faithful companion who effectively produced the guns and gold needed to fund the Revolt and keep his tribesmen happy.
Feisal's northern army was then transferred to the direct command of General Allenby, who passed his orders to the Arabs through Lawrence.

Istrabadi was the principle drafter of Iraq's interim constitution.
Previously a trial lawyer in Valparaiso, Ind., Istrabadi returned to his former home, Iraq, to serve as vice president of the Iraqi Forum for Democracy and as an adviser to a member of the country's Governing Council.
The interim constitution, which was approved by the Governing Council in March 2004, establishes a legal structure for Iraq until a permanent constitution is drafted.

Much of the violent insurgency is taking place in Sunni-dominated areas in the central part of the country, and some Sunni leaders have called for a boycott of the election.
