	Uruguay - THE NEW COUNTRY, 1903-33
		Feliciano Viera (1915-19), a Colorado who was more conservative than Batlle y Ordóñez, became president at the time of the debate between "collegialists" and "anticollegialists." During his mandate, elections were held for a constituent assembly (July 30, 1916).
		The latter, which included representatives from the party that received the second highest number of votes, the Blancos, was placed in charge of the ministries dealing with economic, educational, and social policy.
		Finally, in 1919 Viera, in disagreement with Batlle y Ordóñez, founded a dissident Colorado Party faction known as Vierism.

	El tratado del ABC (Argentina-Brasil-Chile) de mayo de 1915. La actitud de la Argentina y Brasil ante la Primera Guerra
		Existiera o no dicho plan, lo cierto fue que el presidente uruguayo Feliciano Viera, consciente de la debilidad del ejército oriental frente a las fuerzas brasileñas, mandó preguntar a su colega de Buenos Aires si estaba dispuesto a colaborar con armas en caso de un ataque brasileño al territorio oriental.
		El respaldo de Yrigoyen a Viera fue categórico: "si por desgracia el Uruguay viera invadido su territorio, tenga la más absoluta seguridad el pueblo hermano de que mi gobierno no le vendería armas, sino que el ejército argentino cruzaría el Río de la Plata para defender la tierra uruguaya" (4).
		El 15 de febrero de 1918 el presidente Viera comunicó al Congreso uruguayo la actitud de su par Yrigoyen, y los legisladores resolvieron agradecer en forma oficial al primer mandatario argentino su incondicional apoyo a la República Oriental.

"Feliciano Viera" was a politician of that time who appears here as "Candidato" ("Candidate").
		The indicated performer (Tina Martinez Hernandez) doesn't mean anything to me. However, it seems strange that it was transmitted by another ham station, 1AD (which belonged to A. Marroche Paronie, according to a 1927 Radio [Ham] Guide I have a copy of).
