Felix Adler (August_13, 1851–April_24, 1933) was a Jewish rationalist intellectual who founded the Society for Ethical Culture in New York, New York.
Felix graduated from Columbia University in 1870, and moved to Germany where he received a doctorate from Heidelberg University.
As a member of the New York State Tenement House Commission, Felix Adler was concerned not only by overcrowding, but also by the increase in contagious disease caused by overcrowding.

In Paris, Franchomme made friends with Felix Mendelssohn and more closely with Frederic Chopin, with whom he often performed and also composed a concert duct on themes from the opera Robert the Devil by Meyerbeer- (1832).
Twenty-four etudes written in the 1850s by Felix Battanchon, which were dedicated to Daniel Franqois Aubert, director of the Paris Conservatory and accepted for teaching there are still of academic value.
Among several of Battanchon's other books of etudes, well worth mentioning are his Etudes-Variations in Double Stops Op.
