  Simon H. Fell
The trio of Fell, Andy Street (piano) and Tony Shepherd (drums), as 'Lucky Jim', recorded the first Bruce's Fingers album; an ongoing duo with Charles Wharf has recorded four albums, but probably the most significant early success was Hession/Wilkinson/Fell, a free jazz trio which gained a reputation for decisive, passionate improvising.
Simon Fell has spent much of the past 20 years trying to refine various syntheses of composition, improvisation and jazz.
Fell was awarded a composer's research and development bursary by the Arts Council in 1993 to compose Compilation III, a large-scale work for concert pianist, free jazz trio, rock guitarist, jazz orchestra, electronics and tape; a recording of a revised version for 42 musicians appeared in 1998.

 Fell pony Temperament and Maturity
The Fell temperament is similar to other British native pony breeds in that the instinct for survival has been bred into them for centuries.
If Fells are bred and reared OFF their traditional hills, their survival instinct may perhaps fade, but for the time being it runs strong in their veins and it must be allowed for.
Most Fells in their native country are left to run free until the age of two or three.

One of the classic native breeds of England, the Fell Pony is noted for its hardiness, courage and adaptability.
Eventually when the Romans withdrew from Britain to go to the aid of their besieged home city of Rome, they left behind about one thousand Friesian horses, most of which were stallions, and which were bred with the native ponies.
Apart from looking very much alike, the Friesian horse was, and still is, noted for its ability to trot, and this characteristic was passed on to the Fell Pony, which soon attained fame likewise for its speed and stamina at this gait.

Fell - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Fell (from the Old Norse fjall, 'mountain') is a word used to refer to mountains, or certain types of mountainous landscape, in parts of England and Scandinavia.
In other cases the reverse is true: for instance, the name of Wetherlam, in the Coniston Fells, though understood to refer to the mountain as a whole, strictly speaking refers to the summit; the slopes have names such as Tilberthwaite High Fell, Low Fell and Above Beck Fells.
In Scandinavia, a fell (fjell in Norwegian, fjäll in Swedish, tunturi in Finnish; "tunturi" is of the same Sami origin as the word tundra.) is a treeless mountain landscape that has been shaped by glacier ice earlier in history.

Fell #1-2 - PopMatters Comic Book Review
Fell tells the story of Richard Fell, a young detective who has recently transferred into the worst precinct in town.
He seems to be drawn to the weird cases: a man who cannot drink alcohol at all who dies of alcohol poisoning, a woman who was killed for her unborn fetus.
And even if Fell becomes a commercial success (and the fact that both issues have had second printings indicate that it is on its way), it is not known if it will encourage other comic companies to try similar experiments.

Fell very much follows a specific outline that is necessary in any first issue: introduce the protagonist, introduce the setting, lay down minor groundwork for future stories, be self-contained while offering the promise of further issues, and demonstrate what exactly will happen in the title.
Fell is new in town and has no one to talk to, and since Ellis needs him to tell the reader some personal information, he goes to a bar and tells his background to the bartender.

Fell, from Old English, means awful, terrible or horrible.
The word's stem can also be seen in "felon," which now is mostly used to mean someone who has been convicted of a felony (a serious crime), but which formerly meant one who is terrible, horrible or awful in behavior.
This appears to be the earliest recorded use of the phrase, although it may have been in common usage before Shakespeare wrote it down.
