		When eliminating the month of October from the calculations of average winter water levels, an increase in the winter water table was observed (figure 2).
		This condition is characteristic of winter groundwater levels in a bog, however, the summer water levels collected during this 1990-1991 period were too low to maintain a viable bog ecosystem.
		Considering the results of the subtraction of winter and summer water tables (figure 7) it is clear that something must be done to reduce the amount of fluctuation between seasons.
