At issue was the proposed merging of the Methodist Protestant Church with the Methodist Episcopal Church and the Methodist Episcopal Church South.

I am a nobody, but I have enough sanctified Bible sense to know that the preserved Word of God was not hidden away for centuries in the pope’s library and that the Scripture cannot be treated like any other book, as modern textual criticism postulates.
