 Fellowship
Fellowship was not a word that was heard much in mainstream culture, until recently.
Fellowship, just as it was needed by Frodo to help him with his mission to destroy the evil ring, is also necessary for Christians to help them live godly lives and spread the gospel throughout the world.
When Christians have regular fellowship with other Christians, they not only receive many benefits, but they are also given the opportunity to sacrifice for their fellow believers.

The character of this fellowship is made clear in the celebration of the Lord's Supper, the Holy Communion, where there is intimate fellowship or communion with Jesus Christ, the exalted Lord, and with those who are "in Christ, " for those who faithfully participate (1 Cor 10:16-17).
Paul also points to a fellowship in the Spirit (2 Cor 13:14; Php 2:1), a dynamic experience that is inextricably related to receiving the love of the Father and the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son.
Fellowship as practical sharing within the wider church is highlighted in Romans 15:25-31 and 2 Corinthians 8-9 (see also Heb 13:16; and Php 1:5; 4:15).

 BARING FOUNDATION
Firstly, Richmond Fellowship International split from its ‘parent’ organisation, the Richmond Fellowship, in 1991/2, thereby reducing its access to funding for the international operations.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss issues of ethnic and cultural appropriateness concerning the Richmond Fellowship model of care.
The meeting had a cathartic effect on the international fellowship, exhibiting a deep split between poor countries, lacking the social welfare infrastructure necessary to support half way houses, and the wealthier countries who either had such a supportive infrastructure, or could charge fees to their clients sufficient to cover the core costs of such institutions.

Nature and Implications of Fellowship (I) - LCMS
On the one hand, the discussion of the nature of fellowship is complicated by the fact that the word "fellowship" itself is frequently used to refer to a number of different relationships, often without an awareness that this is being done.
Church fellowship (in the sense of external unity in the church) is constituted by agreement in the faith which is confess, (fides quae) and not by faith in the heart (tides qua) [13]
However, if this faith in the heart constituted church fellowship, it would be impossible to speak of church fellowship in the sense of external unity in the church, since spiritual fellowship in the body of Christ is a matter of faith in the heart (Thesis I) and is hidden from human eyes.

Foundation Papers, a Publication of The New Foundation Fellowship.
The reason it took so long to present the gospel in the seventeenth century, and takes even longer today, is not that the message is complicated.
The reason is that we are very complicated, burdened with innumerable hang-ups and doubts and questions, and so it takes a long time to understand and accept the message.
But before this gospel fellowship and gospel worship and gospel ministry can be known and experienced, the gospel must be preached and received.

This fellowship is based upon the common ground of Jesus Christ.
In Acts 2:41 we see that, after Peter told the people to repent and be baptized for the remission of their sins, about 3000 souls who "gladly received his word were baptized" and the Lord added them to the church.

This view of fellowship is, in reality, more polluted than what these fellowships criticize because it imputes the sins of all members to each individual person who claims, whether justly or unjustly, a place at the "table," irrespective of where in the world they may be.
The reason this claim is made is that brother Thomas' ideas on some things changed following his baptism in 1847 ("The Doctrine of Fellowship" and immortal emergence to name two).
This being so, to make belief in mortal resurrection a test of fellowship seems to us to be putting strong meat in the place of milk, and to make a first principle of that which under the apostles was only a matter of instruction to those who were in Christ.
