		Fender has problems with Homeowners Association; he has not paid monthly assessments due to disputes.

		I never heard of Slayer playing at Fenders, although they were scheduled at one point on RIB, it was moved.
		No particular shows stand out as being more violent than the others, there were always fights, the skinheads were always looking for trouble, they would pick out one guy in the pit and just all pounce on him and kick the crap out of him.

		Fritz, i can't say much for OC because i spent most of my gig time at Fenders in LB, but two things helped totally destroy that scene- gangbanger Sui/Cycos coming out from Venice and Santa Monica and neo-Nazis from everywhere else.
		San Pedro's scene, while miniscule by comparison to the rest of the area, was pretty all-inclusive and we always enjoyed shows at the Waters and later Ft Mac/Angel's Gate.
		I often went to Fenders Ballroom with college friends and the clubs in O.C. with kids from work.
