Fenris (comics) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Fenris are two characters from the Marvel Comics universe, namely German mutant twins (although it was stated initially they were genetically altered by scientific means) Andrea and Andreas von Strucker, children of supervillains Elsbeth von Strucker and Baron Wolfgang von Strucker of HYDRA.
Fenris is also the name of the terrorist organization the two are head of.
The new Swordsman was, indeed, confirmed as Andreas von Strucker in New Thunderbolts #17, able to access his former powers as part of Fenris by tanning his sister's skin and using it as the grip on his sword.

Norse Mythology in Comic Books   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-11-06)
True to his mythological foundation, the comic book Thor was not what one might consider a "quick study." The Son of Odin, though overflowing with bravery and determination, lacked the intelligence and wit to save himself from dastardly plans in both the myths and in the comics.
In the comic book series, Thor never acts "holier-than-thou," because he understands that he is not the dominant force in reality; perhaps the greatest example concerning Thor's rank as a soldier (and not a king) would be to examine his relationship with his father, Odin.
Throughout the history of this comic character, Odin has had a reputation as being a hard deity to please; the dual nature of his personality (his opportunities to be both fatherly and a harsh disciplinarian) is as prominent in modern appearances as it was in the Norse myths.

Comic characters are mythic in that they are larger than life and they represent a facet of reality.
Comics, for all their whacky stuff, are human at heart, and therefore quite wonderful.

The Black Furies comic, I thought, was very heartfelt and very well written, and was one of the best comics put out that year.
The Get of Fenris book was very good too, and gained a lot from the fact that it was illustrated in monotone (and eery!) blue, not just fls and whites.
Anyway, it was a great loss of a comic that never had a chance to develop into it's full potential.
