Determined to become a missionary, he applied to the Jesuit general in Rome for six years, asking to be sent to India.

The Austrian fleet, led by Admiral Tegetthoff, who commanded the battleship Erzherzog Ferdinand Max, was opposed by Admiral Persano, commander of the Italian fleet.
In the battle, Persano, on his flag ship the battleship Re d'Italia, was roundly trounced by Tegetthoff, and the Italian fleet withdrew in defeat.
It is also found on a remembrance thaler from 1525 and in the official seal of the Croatian Parliament elected in Cetin, from 1 January 1527 when Ferdinand I was elected King of Croatia.

In 1839 he established a new city and called it Ferdinand (South of Jasper), and in 1843 he established Celestine, both of course with parishes.
He was everywhere where there were Germans and in this way he became the first Croatian in Pittsburgh and New Orleans.

Prior to his work, California was shown on all maps as an island." A factual account of it is prepared by fra Ljubo Krasic and also includes the quotations from The Catholic Encyclopedia and so on.
