Imre Nagy, prime minister of the toppled 1956 Hungarian revolution, and his fellow martyrs were commemorated at a number of memorial sites.
Nagy and several of his associates were executed on June 16, 1958 in retaliation for their roles in the revolution suppressed by Soviet troops. 
Nagy was a leader of the Hungarian Communist Party from 1944, but as he criticised Stalin's cult of personality and the forcible farm collectivisation, he was removed from the party leadership in 1949.

Nagy Sándor house is one of the studio houses of the colony of artists which was working in Gödöllõ between 1901-1920.
The building is ornamented by the frontispiece mosaics of Aladár Körösfõi Kriesch and Sándor Nagy, reliefs of Ferenc Sidló, the stained glass windows of Sándor Nagy and Ede Toroczkai Wigand, and the seccoes of Körösfõi.
The nationalised weaving shop continued to operate under the leadership of Sándor Nagy and, later on, under that of the Remseys, who remained in Gödöllõ until the end of their lives.

Nagy, who was posthumously promoted from Sergeant to Lieutenant, was laid to rest with full military honors at his hometown cemetery of Zagyvarékas.
Roman Catholic bishop Tamás Szabó blessed Nagy's grave, and a salvo was fired in salute.

Ferenc (Frank) Cserged, a resident of Roseview Manor, passed away on Thursday, September 30, 2004 with his family at his side.  This determined fighter lost his brave battle with cancer.
Ferenc will be sadly missed by his children:  Frank (Karen), Katalin (George) Widera, Joe (Allison), Sylvie (John) Seaman, Jolan Nagy, and by his grandchildren who were his life’s greatest treasures:  Jennifer, Grant, Quinten, Cherish, and Brandon.  Ferenc is also survived by numerous relatives in Hungary, including his sister Gizi and many nieces and nephews.
The children of Ferenc Cserged would like to thank Shirley at Comcare for accompanying our father to his many radiation treatments, to Dr. Dodick and the staff at Roseview Manor for their compassionate care in easing his pain during his final days.

This might be the reason why the album of Ferenc Pápai Páriz got in the possession of György Rettegi in 1762.
Due to an error in the family tree published by Iván Nagy [Nagy Iván IX 688], some biographies incorrectly name the parents of György Rettegi [Rettegi-Jancsó, Szinnyei].
Their son was György (1718-1786), deputy-lieutenant in 1768-71, the owner of the album of Ferenc Pápai Páriz from 1762 on.
