Ferenc Somogyi (born 1945) is a Hungarian (A native or inhabitant of Hungary) diplomat and businessman.
He is a member of the Hungarian Socialist Party (additional info and facts about Hungarian Socialist Party) and has served as foreign minister (A government minister for foreign relations) since November 1, 2004.
Previously, he was the deputy ambassador to the United Nations (An organization of independent states formed in 1945 to promote international peace and security) during the 1980s in Hungary's communist government, and was a telephone company executive during the 1990s.
