In 1979 Fergie left Trillion and joined forces with another rockband called Leroux, known for their hit "Lifeline".
When Toto was looking for a new singer in 1984, a tape of Fergie was passed on to Toto via Ricky "Bad English" Phillips (who would team up with Fergie 10 years later to make their album "Frederiksen/Phillips").

Frederiksen would head to Los Angeles to do session work and Leonard would go on to play in the band Toy Matinee and become an in-demand producer, working with everyone from Madonna to Roger Waters.
In 1983, Frederiksen became the lead singer for Le Roux, who had scored their biggest hit, yet, the year before with the Top 20 single "Nobody Said It Was Easy." The subsequent album, So Fired Up, produced the minor hit "Carrie's Gone" written about Fredericksen's relationship with comedienne Carol Burnett's daughter, actress/singer Carrie Hamilton.

Fergie was also in the exciting band Mecca that recieved raving reviews worldwide for their first album released in 2002 entitled Mecca.

This is Fergie singing a track that normally would have seen Joseph Williams at the helm.
Fergie was at his best with LeRoux, at least for me. But the production is excellent and the songs wrap you up.

Con un tale spiegamento di forze ben assemblate dal chitarrista scandinavo, il risultato finale non poteva che risultare estremamente interessante, un prodotto di gran classe, che puo'contare su una decina (su dodici) di brani accattivanti e straordinariamente melodici ed orecchiabili.
Si parte con il "taglio americano" di Yeah, prima di arrivare alla prima vera chicca del disco, la splendida " Demon", cantata in maniera sublime da Fergie Frederiksen, che ci fa respirare l'aria rarefatta di un grande vinile come "Isolation", crocevia dei Toto post Kimball, anno 1984.
In definitiva un disco che mostra il suo lato migliore quando il talento compositivo di Tommy Denander incontra l'abilità tecnica di vocalist eccellenti quali appunto Fergie Frederiksen, Steve Overland e Matti Alfonzetti, ma a cui manca una sorta di continuità, per poter risultare quasi perfetto.

Fergie Frederiksen adds his own flare to this uptempo AOR pop rocker with a great hook and a definite Toto Isolation feel to it.
The highlights, of course, are the tracks where luminaries such as Fergie Frederiksen, Koseph Williams, Bobby Kimball and the aforementioned Jason Scheff take the mic, not the least because the material the kind of grit evident on Toto's Isolation, and syrupy ballads are thin on the ground.
Frederiksen is in top shape on “On My Own” and Kimball lifts “Crimes Of Passion” to an entirely different level.

Like I said, I was excited to hear that Matti Alfonzetti (Skintrade, Alfonzetti, Jagged Edge) would be performing, and his contribution to "Until I Change Your Heart" is actually a song that would have fitted in on Alfonzetti's first album seamlessly.
Then again, Fergie Frederiksen (ex Toto) totally *rocks* on "Demon" surprising the shit out of me.
