Fermanagh District Council is a local council in Northern Ireland.
The borders of the district are very similar to those of the traditional County Fermanagh, containing all of that county plus a small section of County Tyrone in the Dromore and Kilskeery road areas.
Fermanagh District Council is a unique local authority in that it covers at least one entire county in Northern Ireland and less than one complete Parliamentary Constituency.

Fermanagh Shadow Youth Council is a group of people elected by post primary age students throughout the county using the Proportional Representation (PR) system.

Fermanagh Sinn Féin Councillor Ruth Lynch hit out at Unionist controlled Lisburn Council for failing to respond positively to a Fermanagh Council motion which called on Lisburn Council to think again about excluding nationalists and non-unionists from the positions of chairs, vice chairs of council committees and membership of outside bodies.
In Lisburn Council itself, the Fair Employment record shows that only 16% of the workforce is Catholic despite the fact that Catholics make up 33% of Lisburn's population.
The Mayor of Lisburn Council is currently in China, ironically on an event that is supposed to foster good relations between Lisburn and China.

 Enniskillen Castle
Enniskillen Castle, situated beside the River Erne in County Fermanagh, was built almost 600 years ago by Gaelic Maguires.  Guarding one of the few passes into Ulster, it was strategically important throughout its history.  In the 17th century it became an English garrison fort and later served as part of a military barracks.
This fine castle, once the home of the Gaelic Maguire chieftains, represents an important part of Fermanagh's rich history and heritage.
The Castle Keep houses the Inniskillings Museum and displays spanning the history of the Castle and the development of Enniskillen town.

Tradition has it that a graceful lady walked through the mists of May and made her way from island to island clad in flowing garments, surrounded by light and carrying in her had a bunch of beautiful wild flowers.
His sculpture has become more abstract, and deals with light and form, using combinations of bronze, glass and wood, and paint, as evidenced in Reflections on Water, in Fermanagh County Museum.
