Ferndale Rugby Club was first established during 1882-83 through a number of young members from the community.
Ferndale rugby Club was re-formed in 1989, after Alun Clement, his brother Gerwyn and Ainsley Evans stimulated local interest to reform the club.
Ferndale played their first game for 68 years against Fleur De Lys at Blaenllechau Park, on Saturday 2nd September 1989, drawing the game six all.

The CBI types in Wales who don't think you can have a holiday in one part of a country only are clearly talking nonsense.
A public holiday in Wales would be the best way to mark St. David's day, as they do in Ireland (North and South) for St. Patrick.

It was built as a memorial church largely through the generosity and efforts of a Miss M. Davies of Llantrisant, a convert.
