		The 132 was introduced in May 1972 as the replacement for the 125.
		The 132 was replaced in 1987 with a turbo DS Ritmo (Stada).
		FIAT 132 2000 and i'm in love with my car.The car is great altough i have some problems with rust.I've got it since 1999.Before that i had a FIAT 131 1600TC which was a great car too.

		The chassis was based on that of the outgoing model, the Fiat 1300/1500 (the longer variant), the body was a further (lengthened) development of the Fiat 124 – both had the same passenger compartment and doors, whilst the engine was derived from that in the 124: a 1608 cc dohc with 90 bhp.
		Production by Fiat in Italy ceased in 1973 when the Fiat 132 was introduced, a total of 603,877 cars having been built.

		I saw a cheap fiat 132, and I was wondering how many parts are interchangeable with a Spider, or other fiats.
		The internals for gear 1-4 match up with the Spider but neither of them is a direct bolt on -- they need body changes (they are wider and longer than Spider gearboxes), have a different shifting device (much more in the rear) and, because they are longer, force you to use a different drivetrain.
		The Spider 2.0 gearbox bolts straight onto a 132 2.0 engine, to use 1400, 1600 (and 1800 ?) gearboxes you must exchange the bell housing with the one from the 132.
