Manifestations of Fiction Works   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-21)
For each record selected, a corresponding special index record was created containing (1) the OCLC record number, (2) an author number, (3) a title number, (4) the title key, and (5) the publication date.
The works record included all fields from the index record plus three new fields: (1) the number of manifestations, (2) the number of libraries holding the most widely held manifestation, and (3) the number of libraries holding the work.
Records that matched closely in these fields were considered related editions of the same work and were used to update the works record.
