Krishna's buttercup (Ficus krishnae) is a species of fig from India with a peculiar leaf structure and is associated with the Hindu deity Krishna.

Ficus rubiginosa does very poorly here but I have seen a few that are surviving in the right location.
He thought it was a magnolia and said that rumor has it that one of the original tenants of an apartment complex on the other side of the fence planted it when the area was developed.
I'm not sure, but I think that the beautiful ficus planted in front of the Vine restaurant in Tempe on Apache may be a rubiginosa (if not, perhaps a macrophylla?) I always though it was just another elastica until a got a closer look.

The apex of the leaf tends to have a "nipple shape".
Ficus nitida is a synonym for F. benjamina and there is no mention of a variety "Nitida" in Griffiths for F. microcarpa..

 Ficus rubiginosa - Tropical Bonsai Forums
I'm new to this forum, and just moved to zone 10.
Here is my new purchase, a Ficus rubiginosa (Port Jackson fig), as bought, and after the initial chop.
I'm told the leaves reduce quite well, but would be interested if anyone here could confirm that.
