  Field Day
Field Day is a ham radio contest conducted by the ARRL the fourth full weekend every June.
The Field Day exchange is one's callsign, along with the number of stations in simultaneous operation, proceeded by a letter (A-F) designating the method in which the stations are being powered, such as by generator, solar power, or conventional mains AC.
In fact, Field Day is frequently used to attract significant publicity to what ham radio is about.

 Virtual Field Day
A "field day" is an educational event where producers and other interested clientele have the opportunity to see first hand new crops and alternative enterprises, more efficient ways to manage resources such as water, nutrients, and farmland, strategies to protect their crops and the environment, and how to improve profits.

K-State Research and Extension, the Kansas Agricultural Research Association and several prominent companies have come together to sponsor a field day to educate crop producers and agribusiness of the potential benefits of agricultural technologies and to help address some of concerns regarding precision agriculture.

Gentlemen, While testing my Field day setup this morning i noticed that when the bird it crowded Signals are significantly lower and with the small dishes used for portable ops the signals were almost borderline.
On field day there will be a lot of guys on the bird and a lot of small portable setups.
I know no one needs to be reminded of using minimal power, lelia does that for us quite adequately but on field day lets really try to keep it to the minimum so that all the smaller guys get a chance to put on a good show.
