The field trial is part of a METI-sponsored project commissioned to the Japan Department Stores Association, known as the 2007 Field Trial for Improving Distribution and Logistics Efficiency through the Use of Electronic Tags.
The field trial will be held at Shiseido counters on the first floor of the Ginza (Tokyo) flagship store, and Sakae (Nagoya) branch of Mitsukoshi department store, a major department store in Japan.
Other trials will be conducted for such aspects as customer consultation, product assortment, and distribution, with the purpose to evaluate the efficiency in using RFID tags in supply chain management of cosmetics, the impact on increasing purchase intent when the customers themselves handle products with RFID tags, and effect on purchasing related products.

The format of this trial is such to attract new members to NSTRA that are otherwise reluctant to participate in trials where very experienced and polished NSTRA dogs compete.
The main pool of dog enthusiasts to draw from and to attract to a NSTRA Amateur Field Trial seems to be from local dog clubs in your area.
In the case of a full trial (32 dogs entered) and there is an uneven number of novice and an uneven number of open then extra braces shall be ran to accommodate the format.

 Field Trial Rules 2005
In order to execute this properly, it is important that the same field trial chairman be appointed to be in charge of both trials.
The minimum age to be in the field shall be ten years of age, and to gun for self must be 16 years of age and hold a current Hunter's Safety Course Card.
Should an owner/handler cancel a trial entry, he must notify the trial chairman five (5) days prior to the running of the trial, and he (owner/handler) must find a replacement for his entry at the discretion of the field marshal.

By designating the ESSFTA the 'parent club' of the breed, the AKC recognizes us as the national organization solely sanctioned to steward the ESS breed standard and rules for ESS-only performance events in the United States.
This has caused the breed to evolve into two distinct 'varieties' - field and bench.
Both 'varieties', however, when properly bred, can represent the breed very well, but it behooves the potential buyer to familiarize him or herself with the spectrum of choices to insure that one obtains the English Springer spaniel that will best meet his or her needs and expectations.

 The Bird Dog Foundation - Field Trial Hall of Fame

The co-op has launched a field trial with 40 dairies across the U.S. Monsanto says the product significantly increases the odds of getting a heifer calf.
The semen will give producers the opportunity to select for heifer calves, and let them accelerate genetic advancement and improve herd quality specifically when creating replacement heifers from top genetic merit cows and heifers, the company says.
On February 6, the first shipment of trial semen, produced from proven Genex Holstein sires, was shipped from the Genex production center in Ithaca, N.Y., according to Roy Wilson, Genex Technology Development Manager.

On Nov. 1, 2005, O2, Manx Telecom and Lucent launched the first commercial HSDPA network service in Europe on the Isle of Man. This commercial network, deployed at 2100 MHz spectrum, will be used during the trial to benchmark against the 900 MHz field trial.
The handover quality and experience between these two frequency bands also will be a key focus for the trial.
